Connecting with community

Interactions of astronomy educators on the IOAA platform has lead to formation of

• Latin American Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics (OLAA) Several Latin American countries participate in this event annually.
• International Astronomy and Astrophysics Workshop. This preparatory workshop is attended by presently 7 European teams where the teams spend a week together to prepare for IOAA.

IOAA has made a representation to International Astronomical Union (IAU) to form a working group within IAU to help national Olympiad programmes. It is hoped that this working group will soon be formed.
